when the joy of having a newborn is shattered with tragic news. Baby Sara, who
is 2 year and 4 months old patient from UAE, was diagnosed with cancer soon
after her birth. Her parents almost lost hope when someone advised them to

Cancer is a daunting disease and for Sara’s
parents not knowing what they were up against made this battle even more
difficult. For close to six months, they went from pillar to post trying to
look for a viable treatment for Sara, however, after every doctor’s visit they
would return home disappointed. Nonetheless, every doctor they visited
suggested they should get Sara bone marrow transplant. Out of options, the
family finally decided to heed the doctors’ advice and subsequently began

patient needs a bone marrow transplant urgently as she is suffering from Acute
lymphoblastic leukemia. Her CNS was cleared in the tests that she had in the
past been also resolved. However, the investigations also revealed sepsis which
meant she had an infection in her entire body.
Eventually, the patient was put on a 14-day course to treat him for the sepsis. A catheter was inserted into her body and sent for the bone marrow transplant. All the required investigations were conducted; the surgery was carried out successfully. The patient from UAE spent the recovery period in the hospital. After the surgery, chemotherapy was conducted. The patient is recovering well and gradually getting relieved from the signs and symptoms that bothered her previously. “India organ transplant service has become a lifetime friend, who took care of everything without saying a word,” said mother of patient from UAE.
Before the discharge, the doctor again
examined the patient and counseled her family regarding all the post-operative instructions. “We
did not face any problem from our arrival till all the treatment was completed

the services”. Baby required intensive monitoring and motherly care in the ICU.
Finally, the hopes of the family were completely fulfilled in India, and they
are all set to go back to UAE, the parents were very happy with bone marrow transplant
