Abanimohan Acharya Feels Great after Prostate Cancer Surgery with Top Urologist in Medanta Gurgaon

I understand what to search for in a doctor and a hospital. With Top Urologist in Medanta Gurgaon, I was reassured, cared for, and loved.

I am a resident of Barisal, Bangladesh, In November 2018; my physician diagnosed me with prostate cancer after testing a mass we’d been looking. The screening confirmed that my PSA score become more than expected. The result made me concerned so much that I decided to see my primary care doctor in Bangladesh for further evaluation. My health practitioner confirmed that the results and sent me to a local urologist who did more tests, together with a CT scan and biopsy. The tests discovered the cancerous mass on my prostate. The first doctor I saw tried treatment with medication, however they didn’t work.

The urologist in Bangladesh didn’t think I was a not a candidate for surgery, so he suggested a treatment plan with radiation therapy. He offered me little hope that I would have a full restoration due to the fact my Gleason score was high, and he indicated that my health outlook was not good. That time I realized I had to find a more skilled doctor with an optimal mind-set. My wife, Hima turned to her family and friends for recommendation. A cousin recommended top urologist in Medanta Hospital Gurgaon because her father had been successfully treated there for prostate cancer. I soon had an appointment with Dr. Rakesh Khera is the associate director of urologic cancer surgery (Uro Oncology) at Medanta - The Medicity, Gurgaon, with the help of India laparoscopy surgery site after reading a little more, I realized that it can help us make our journey to India smoother and easier.

We received our medical visa to India. After reaching India we were received from the airport and taken to the hotel, which was already arranged as per our preferences. Soon, we were taken for the consultation with Dr. Rakesh Khera top urologistin Medanta Gurgaon, from the moment that Hima and I met with Dr. Khera; he was positive and interested about assisting me. He explained my analysis and what the Gleason score means. He mentioned that there have been plenty of treatment options; we discussed radiation, robotic surgery, and a radical prostatectomy – the elimination of my entire prostate. I was impressed with all of the implications of each treatment option. He asked me to take time to think about it. We scheduled the prostatectomy,
My surgery was scheduled, on the day of the surgery, from the moment we arrived to Medanta hospital; I felt that everything was going to be alright. Dr. Rakesh Khera had been very reassuring and I was confident in his work. He understood me; In addition the staff was also incredible staff.
My surgery went nicely, and later on my nurse stayed with me the whole afternoon. The staff hospital cared for my wife as well as they took care of me. While I was in recuperation, Dr. Rakesh Khera talked with my wife about how the surgical operation went and what the following steps were. He stayed with them, providing consolation and reassurance until he felt they were ready for him to move.

The surgical operation and the radiation treatment had little or no physical effect on my life. I took a few sick times when I had surgery, I received radiation therapy. I am grateful to Dr. Rakesh Khera top urologist in Medanta Gurgaon for their positive outlook, their dedication to care, and for treating me with so much of respect. I’m now cancer free. I retired and remain very active now. My wife and I enjoy journey and try to take couple of cruises this year. I have several hobbies, including fishing, photography, reading, cooking, and taking care of my home and property. My experience with Dr. Rakesh Khera was always positive.

Thank you,
Abanimohan Acharya

  1. As reported by Stanford Medical, It's really the SINGLE reason women in this country live 10 years more and weigh on average 42 lbs lighter than us.

(Just so you know, it has absolutely NOTHING to do with genetics or some secret-exercise and absolutely EVERYTHING to do with "HOW" they are eating.)

BTW, What I said is "HOW", and not "what"...
